Must I include sports material other than what is mentioned on the list of personal effects?
We provide all the sports equipment except for tennis chosen as an extra activity. Children must bring their own racket. It is mandatory that all children have their own life jacket.
May my child bring food and candy to the camp? Will my child be able to buy snacks?
In order to avoid frustrating other children who do not have any or who would be allergic and for hygienic reasons, we are asking you not to give or send food and candy to your child. We prefer that he keeps his appetite for meals and rest assured that he will be satisfied. If a child brings or receives food from outside, it will have to be confiscated. Furthermore and for the same reasons, mentioned above, we ask the participants who are on the road not to buy food or candies that they would place into their personal effects. We provide the afternoon snack. The evening snack is optional and at your expense. Coupon cards will be available at the cost of $20.
Must I give my child pocket money?
Certain purchases are possible as indicated further in this document but pocket money, generally speaking, is not necessary except to buy souvenirs if your child is taking tours. We then suggest $100 in pocket money for these children. For children remaining at camp for more than 3 weeks, we suggest an extra $20 for mid-camp activity outings.
We offer the children a money security system and encourage them to use that system for added security.
Where should I bring and take my child?
Children registered in the Club Explo must all without exception leave on the Sunday by bus from Collège Regina Assumpta, 1750 Sauriol East, Montreal (Quebec) H2C 1X4or the McDonald at La Porte du Nord (highway 15 North, exit 51). For the College Regina Assumpta, departure time is at 3:00 p.m. Buses will be positioned in the Sports Centre's parking lot adjacent to Garnier Street. For the McDonald at La Porte du Nord, departure time is at 16:00 p.m. Children will return on the Friday at 3:15 p.m. in the case of La Porte du Nord and at 4:30 p.m. for the College Regina Assumpta.
Children registered in the Mini-Camp or Mini-Camp Plus must all, without exception, leave on the first day of the stay by bus from the Sport Centre. The departure is at 8:00 a.m. in the case of Club de Jour Edphy International-Édouard-Montpetit, 8:30 a.m. for the Club de Jour Edphy International-Sainte-Anne, 9:00 a.m. for the Club de Jour Edphy International-Regina Assumpta, 9:25 a.m. for the Club de jour Edphy International-Académie Ste-Thérèse and 9:45 a.m. for the McDonald at La Porte du Nord. They will return on the third day of their stay at approximately 3:30 p.m. (depending on the traffic conditions) in the case of the McDonald of the La Porte du Nord, 4:00 p.m. (depending on traffic conditions) in the case of the Club de Jour Edphy International- Académie Ste-Thérèse, 4:30 p.m. (depending on traffic conditions) in the case of the Club de Jour Edphy International-ReginaAssumpta, at approximately 5:15 p.m. (depending on traffic conditions) for the Club de Jour Edphy International-Sainte-Anne and at approximately 6:00 p.m. (depending on traffic conditions) for the Club de Jour Edphy International-Édouard-Montpetit
